The stranger smiled enigmatically as he handed them the package. "This game," he said, "will give you an edge like no other. It's a simulation of the very city you're trying to design. Play it, and you'll learn the secrets of building a metropolis that will thrive for centuries."
Marcus and Lucius exchanged a skeptical look, but their curiosity got the better of them. They opened the package, and began to play. As they navigated the virtual world of Caesar II, they discovered a treasure trove of tips, tricks, and insights that would change their approach to designing the city forever.
And so, Marcus and Lucius threw themselves into the challenge, pouring all their energy into designing the perfect city. They spent long hours researching, planning, and sketching, but their hard work paid off. Their design, Caesar II, was a masterpiece - a sprawling metropolis with grand boulevards, majestic temples, and bustling markets.
As he worked, Marcus's thoughts were interrupted by the sound of his assistant, Lucius, bursting into the room. "Marcus, you won't believe the news!" Lucius exclaimed, out of breath. "The Emperor himself has announced a grand competition to design a new city, Caesar II! The prize is a fortune, and the chance to work on the most prestigious project of the century!"
With their newfound knowledge, Marcus and Lucius reworked their design, incorporating the lessons they'd learned from the game. And when the competition results were announced, they held their breath as they heard the words they'd been longing to hear: "And the winner of the Caesar II design competition is... Marcus and Lucius!"
Little did they know, their fate was about to take a dramatic turn. The competition was fierce, and the judges were not easily impressed. But Marcus and Lucius were about to receive a surprise visit from a mysterious stranger, who would offer them a copy of a revolutionary new game - Caesar II, version 1.1, a Linux native game, courtesy of GOG.
Marcus's eyes widened with excitement as he set down his stylus. "This is the opportunity of a lifetime," he breathed. "We must enter, Lucius. We must win."
