Alctron, like many manufacturers in the budget-to-midrange audio space, designs the U48 to be "USB Audio Class Compliant." That is a fancy way of saying it uses the generic audio drivers that already exist inside Windows, macOS, and even Linux.
You don't need to download a driver. Just plug it in, set it as your input device in your OS settings, and hit record. If Windows gives you trouble, force the "USB Audio Device" driver via Device Manager. Have a different issue with your U48? Is the red light on but no signal?
