Legitimate purpose: fptw64.exe is the 64-bit Flash Programming Tool for Intel chipsets and certain embedded systems. It is part of the Intel Flash Programming Tool (part of the Intel ME (Management Engine) or Intel System Development Kit). Its official function is to read, write, erase, or verify the SPI flash memory (BIOS/UEFI firmware) directly from Windows.
