Imperial Chronicles v0.5 is a classic example of an ambitious adult visual novel caught halfway between a rough diamond and a feature creep warning. Lazy Monkey delivers solid fantasy worldbuilding and a handful of intriguing character dynamics, but the current build is too short and unpolished for anyone except genre enthusiasts or patient early adopters. Scenes are tastefully rendered but few (3–4 so far). They fit the story reasonably well, though some transitions feel abrupt. Fetish range is mild—vanilla with a hint of power dynamics. If you’re here purely for lewd content, v0.5 will leave you waiting for later updates.

Found two typos, one soft-lock (save often), and occasional frame drops during transitions. No crashes, but it feels like a beta. The developer Lazy Monkey has been updating irregularly, so check their Patreon/Discord for progress.
