James Horner - Apocalypto - Soundtrack -flac- 2006 17 -

Unlike Horner’s grand, orchestral-heavy works ( Titanic , Braveheart , Apollo 13 ), Apocalypto is a raw, percussive, and largely non-Western score. Horner deliberately avoided a traditional symphony orchestra, instead building the music around indigenous and ethnic instrumentation, deep drumming, voice chants, and sparse, haunting melodies. The 17 tracks follow the film’s breathless narrative – a Mayan tribesman’s escape from capture, sacrifice, and pursuit through the jungle.

4.5/5 – A masterwork of minimalist, ethnic tension. Rating (FLAC vs. MP3): 5/5 – One of the clearest cases where lossless truly matters. If you have a specific source for this FLAC release (CD rip, download store, etc.), I can comment further on its provenance and spectral quality.
