Marcus noticed it only because the digital clock on the microwave flickered. He stood up, walked over, and unplugged the coffee maker. The clock on the microwave kept flickering. He watched the progress bars crawl to 100%

Marcus looked at the frozen blue screen one last time. The cursor was gone. In its place, two words:
