Beneath this absurdity lurks the series’ true plot: The Tribunal, a secret Illuminati-like organization, watches Dethklok with dread. Ancient prophecies (and a mysterious organization called the Falconback Project) suggest the band is either the key to saving the world or triggering a secret, apocalyptic event known as "The Metalocalypse." Their music literally influences the global economy
