In the vibrant world of Malayalam theatre, the Mono Act (ഏകാഭിനയം) holds a unique and powerful position. Unlike a full-length play with multiple characters, a mono act is a dramatic presentation performed by a single actor. However, contrary to popular belief, a mono act is not just a "one-man show" or a lengthy monologue. It is a complete dramatic arc where the single performer conveys the presence of multiple characters, shifting time, and conflicting emotions using only their voice, body language, and imagination.

"എന്റെ അച്ഛൻ മരിച്ചു. ഞാൻ ആ കത്ത് കൊടുത്തില്ല. കാരണം... അതിൽ എഴുതിയിരുന്നു 'മകൻ ചത്തു' എന്ന്. പക്ഷെ ഞാൻ ഇവിടെ ജീവിച്ചിരിപ്പുണ്ട്. ഞാനാണ് ചത്തത്."
